Cloudflare Launches Organizations: Centralized Management for Enterprise Accounts (Public Beta)
Cloudflare has announced the public beta of Organizations, a new top-level container designed for enterprise customers to manage multiple accounts, members, analytics, and shared policies from a single, centralized dashboard.
What’s New in Organizations (Beta)
- Centralized Account Management: Organizations allow you to manage up to 500 accounts and 500 zones under one umbrella, making it easier for large teams to administer resources at scale.
- Self-Serve Onboarding: Enterprise customers can now create an Organization directly from the dashboard and assign accounts where they are already Super Administrators.
- Unified Roles: At launch, all Organization members are Super Admins, with the ability to invite others and manage any child account. More granular Org-level roles are planned for later this year.
- Shared Policies: Easily share WAF and Gateway policies across multiple accounts, simplifying policy management and ensuring consistent security and traffic rules.
- Implicit Access: Organization members automatically receive Super Administrator permissions across all child accounts, eliminating the need for explicit membership on each account.
- Unified Analytics: View, filter, and download aggregate HTTP analytics across all child accounts for centralized visibility into traffic and security events.
- Terraform Provider Support: Manage Organizations programmatically from day one using the Cloudflare Terraform provider—provision organizations, assign accounts, and configure settings as code.
Why It Matters
For enterprises managing complex infrastructures, Organizations streamlines administration, enhances security, and provides a single source of truth for analytics and policy enforcement. The ability to share policies and manage accounts at scale reduces operational overhead and risk.
